Being dog owners we understand that for many a UK holiday without the "fur kids" is no holiday at all. Thus when we built our three unique luxury dog friendly cottages we did it from the discerning dogs point of view, and then we thought we better make them super comfortable for our human guests as well.
Being located at the top of Somerset’s remote isolated and majestic Quantock Hills - a place where ancient woodland meets wild Jurassic coastline our sumptuous cottages are perfectly located for you and the fur kids to make the most of what this stunning area has to offer particularly the four footed family members, after all it's their holiday really and not yours - you knew that right!

THE ENCLOSED GARDENS
Being dog owners ourselves we understand how important it is to have properly secure gardens with appropriate fencing which is fully dog proof as without this we can't relax.
We have made sure that each of our 3 cottages have large gardens that are well fenced and are totally dog proof no matter how small or large our canine guests are. The secure garden fencing is up to a good height. Each of the enclosed gardens have a mixture of grass and gravel and they are large and private
3 ENCLOSED EXERCISE PADDOCKS
We have 3 purpose built secure doggie exercise enclosures, one of which has an agility course. "Central Bark" and "Mini Bark" are adjacent to Coleridge & Greenway parking areas and the "Dog Zone" is up Nr the Quantock Hide. The fencing for both Central Bark and Mini Bark is small hole stock fencing which then has 16 gauge high tensile wire above and above that is a rail. The dog zone is full stock height and has 2 strands of 16 gauge wire on top of as well. So if you just want to toss a ball, or you want some space to do some serious dog training, or perhaps just have fun hanging out with your bestie trying your hand and their paws at agility you can do this secure in the knowledge that these doggie play areas are enclosed.
THE DOGGIE SPA
Because you have a hot tub, we felt it only fair that our doggie guests did as well. So, by your front door you will find a doggie spa, which has a bath tub, a hot and cold shower and a drying bench.
AWESOME SOMERSET WALKS
Imagine staying in a luxury remote holiday cottage and stepping out of your private, enclosed garden on to 9,000 acres of glorious open moorland which has steep stream laced wooded coombes and colourful heathland. Plus with the coast just down the lane you and the dogs could visit for a month and never need to cross your tracks
THE COAST
Kilve Beach which is Jurassic is just 1.5 miles away and there are lovely walks along the cliffs. The sandy beaches of Blue Anchor, Dunster and Minehead are a just a short drive away.
WE LOVE ALL BREEDS OF DOGS
We say 3 dogs per cottage are most welcome, and more possible on request. We love all breeds of dog from the very little to the very big. Over 80% of our K9 guests are rescue people and the majority have issues of some sort or another due to bad starts in life, so the cottages and their gardens (ie tall close board garden fencing) are designed to account for this. The Quantock Hills are very quiet if you see anyone else it is a rarity . The 3 enclosed dog exercise paddocks are only for our cottage guests use so one will always be available.
