Being such a large and diverse county Somerset has a wealth of places to visit and explore. The Quantock Hills are at the end of your garden, the coast is just 1.5 miles away, Exmoor National Park is within easy striking distance as are both the north and south coasts of Devon. From the flats of the Somerset levels to the hills of the mighty Quantocks this wonderful area has something for everyone. With regards to places to stay - there is obviously only one place and that is at our luxury dog friendly Quantock Cottages! For culture Bath, Montague House and Medieval Dunster are within easy striking distance. For Adventure head deep into Lorna Doone Country and visit the romantic fishing villages of Lynton and Lynmouth and for horticulture visit the wonderful Hestercombe Gardens. Heading to the beach is usually the first on the list of things to do and we have an array of both shingle and sandy beaches near by. For entertaining the kids there is Wookey Holes, Cheddar Gorge and Seaquarium at Weston and finally for shopping Clarkes Village is only a 40 minute drive it is a very dangerous place to visit (well for the wallet anyway!)
